On 11 May 2011, the non-profit organization Golos opened a website for election statistics. Ivan Begtin, director of the projects Gosliudi.ru, Gosset and Ofitsialno, has described the new website in his blog.

The new website contains data on more than 36,000 elections at all levels of government – from the federal level to local self-government – held since 2003. The election statistics are presented as a download (in CVS format) that can be viewed in Microsoft Excel. The information presented in this way is easily accessible and the figures can be quickly worked on by a computer, unlike the statistical tables to be found on the website of the Central Electoral Commission, Polit.ru writes.

Golos is a non-political Russian non-profit founded in 2000 to protect the rights of Russian voters and the development of civil society. Today Golos works in 40 Russian regions.
