The Russian system of justice is ineffective, chair of the Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev has said at a session of the Council of Judges of the Russian Federation. He said that this is shown by the low level of implemetation of court decisions, and this has a negative impact on the whole Russian judicial system.

The poor implementation of court decisions, according to Vyacheslav Lebedev, has been evident for many years, and there are no grounds to believe the situation has changed for the better, RIA Novyi Region reports, citing RAPSI.

The head of the Supreme Court also pointed out that the failure to implement court decisions results in a culture of impunity, and as a result, recidivism.
