![]() Source: HRO.org (info) Agora Human Rights Association reports that Mikhail Savva, director of grantmaking programmes at the Southern Regional Resource Centre and a professor at Kuban State University, has been detained for 48 hours following a search ‘on suspicion of a crime.’ Mikhail Savva’s wife has informed Agora: ‘I have just received a phone call from the FSB who told me that my husband has been detained for 48 hours on suspicion of illegally receiving money from the budget of the regional government.’ On 12 April from 6am a search was conducted at the home of Mikhail Savva, a political scientist, a professor at Kuban State University, and deputy chair of the region’s gubernatorial Human Rights Council. On 15 April Mikhail Savva was due to speak at a session of the presidential Human Rights Council in Moscow on the question of inspections of NGOs in the Kuban region. |
