Magnitsky's former boss appeals to Russian presidential candidates

Jamison Firestone, head of the Firestone Duncan consulting company and former boss of the lawyer Sergei Magnitsky who died in pre-trial detention, has appealed to the candidates in Russia's presidential election to stop the “mockery” of Magnitsky's memory and of his family by Russia's law enforcement agencies. 

The complete text of his letter appears on the Stop the Untouchables website, Lenta.ru reports. 

Firestone believes that Russia's law enforcement agencies "have not done anything to investigate" Magnitsky's death and the economic crimes connected to it, with regard to which, Firestone says, the authorities have blamed “low level doctors, petty criminals, dead men, and now Sergei Magnitsky, the man who died trying to prevent the theft of billions roubles.” [Read more]
