Golos has lodged an appeal in the courts against the Justice Ministry’s decision to suspend its operations.

Citing Interfax, Radio Liberty reports that the deputy director of the organisation, Grigory Melkonyants, has said that the organisation’s lawyers state in the appeal they consider the decision to suspend Golos’ operations unlawful and unfounded, and that they request its repeal.

The Ministry of Justice suspended the operations of the human rights organisation Golos on the 26th of June following their refusal to register as a foreign agent.
