Moscow Cinemas Refuse to Show Documentary Film about Khodorkovsky

Nineteen out of 20 Moscow cinemas have refused to screen Kirill Tushi’s documentary, KhodorkovskyKommersant reported on 22 November. 

According to the newspaper, in the capital the film will only be shown at the Eldar cinema, and also in the Photoloft gallery at the Wine Factory. It is also planned that the Khudozhestvenny cinema will screen the film once only, on 2 December. 

Moreover, refusals to screen the film have come from cinemas in St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and other cities. In this way, writes Polit.ru citing Kommersant, the distribution of the film has effectively been disrupted. [Read more]
