Levada Centre: What Russians think about the forthcoming elections

Less than half of Russians are certain that the upcoming presidential elections will be fair, while 78 percent are convinced that Vladimir Putin, the current prime minister, will again become head of state. 

As Interfax reports, these are the results of a survey conducted by Levada Centre. Only 49 percent of respondents think the upcoming elections will be honest, 28 percent do not believe this, and 23 percent find it hard to give an opinion on this question. At the same time, 30 percent of respondents expect that there will be less fraud in the presidential elections than there was in the elections to the State Duma. 10 percent think there will be no violations or fraud. [Read more]
