A Perm Court Deems Unlawful a Demand by Ministry of Justice that NGO Pay Tax on Donations from Abroad

The Leninsky district court in Perm ruled that the Perm office of the Ministry of Justice acted unlawfully in warning the Perm Human Rights Centre that non-profit organizations were obliged to pay tax on donations received from a foreign donor. 

The outcome of the court hearing, which ended late on 18 October 2012, was announced by Agora Human Rights Association lawyer Ramil Akhmetgaliev. The official verdict will be issued on 23 October. [Read more]
