Zubovo-Polyansky district court in Mordovia has received two appeals against the court order denying parole to Pussy Riot band member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova.

Interfax, citing information given by a court official, reports that the appeal by attorney Irina Khrunova was received on 15th May, and the appeal by attorney Dmitry Dinze was received on 17th May.

According to the court official, all parties have been notified the appeals have been received, and they have been told they have the right to submit objections. Any objections will be accepted till 7th June, after which complaints will be sent to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Mordovia, if other complaints and petitions are not received within this time.

On 26th April Zubovo-Polyansky district court of Mordovia denied Nadezhda Tolokonnikova parole. The court took the side of the prison administration and the prosecutor’s office, who were against Tolokonnikova’s release. The grounds for this were two extant reprimands issued by the Federal Penitentiary Service against the prisoner.
