A 100-page report has been published by the Hermitage Capital investment fund entitled “The Torture and Murder of Magnitsky and the Cover-Up by State Agencies” (in pdf format). The report contains documents which provide evidence regarding how agencies dismissed complaints made by Sergei Magnitsky over the course of a year while in detention, the subsequent cover-up of these complaints and the role the agencies played in the loss of his freedom, health and life.

The report is based on official documents, court records and public statements and includes the complete texts of Sergei Magnitsky’s complaints regarding the failure to provide medical help and the dismissal of his complaints by state agencies, the investment fund says. Statements given by all state agency employees involved in the case are also included, writes Polit.ru

At a meeting on 13 December, members of the Presidential Council on Human Rights will give Dmitry Medvedev previously unpublished materials on the Sergei Magnitsky case obtained by his friends and colleagues. [Read more]
