Join the “Topography of Terror: Lubyanka and surrounding areas” tour, 21-22 March

As part of the “Moscow: Places of Memory” project, the historical, educational and human rights society Memorial has organised a walking tour entitled “ Topography of Terror: Lubyanka and surrounding areas”. Organisers from Memorial invite you to join the tour on 21-22 March (Friday and Saturday), starting at 1pm.

Your guide will be Pavel Gnilorybov. The meeting place is at the Solovetsky Stone on Lubyanka Square, and the tour will last two hours. The tour is free, but participants will need to register beforehand. 

The tour includes visiting sites such as:

The People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs (NKVD) building on Lubyanskaya Square ;

House of Military board of the Supreme Court of the USSR ("the Execution House"); 
The Dinamo Society House
Václav Vorovsky Monument;
NKVD reception;
Political Red Cross;
Cheka Building (Communist Secret Police) , including the execution yard and Varsonofievsky depot;
Sretensky monastery;
The church of Pyotr and Pavel on Milyutinsky Lane;
The house of the Life Society where TASS was located; 
The French St. Ludovic church;
Telephone station on Milyutinsky Lane;
St. Evpl's demolished church on the corner of Milyutinsky and Myasnitskaya; 
The demolished Zlatoust monastery, and more.
