Members of the Presidential Human Council on Civil Society and Human Rights have expressed extreme concern about a police raid carried out on Human Rights House in Voronezh on 19 December. Their questions are centred on the motivation for the raid and the way it was conducted. Human Rights House is the premises of several human rights organizations that have a high profile, both in Russia and abroad, including the International Youth Human Rights Movement, Voronezh Memorial Association, Inter-Regional Human Rights Group for Voronezh-Chernozemye, Centre for Development of Civic Initiatives, Confederation of Free Labour and Lawyers for Labour Rights.
